My Dad's Funeral
December 13, 2010 will always be a special day for me to remember. My Dad's funeral was held on this day in American Fork, Utah. It was a beautiful day and one that will stand out in my mind. It started out with a viewing and sharing this time with family and friends who were so dear to my Dad. They shared with me special memories of him that really touched my heart. The closing of the casket is very hard. This was a tender moment for my family. The funeral was a beautiful service. The opening song was sung by grandchildren which Nathan, Tyson, and Kline all participated in. All my sisters and myself took part on the program. I spoke about memories of my Dad during my growing up years and thankfully I was able to get through my talk. My Dad's favorite song was "O Divine Redeemer" and a family friend sang the song so beautifully. The funeral was a wonderful recollection of my Dad's life and his service to his family, in the church, and to his country. He was in the Air Force in WWII and the Korean War. He was a proud veteran for this country. At the cemetary he had full military honors with the 21 gun salute and several flags surrounding the gravesite. He had a flag drapped over his casket which was folded and presented to my mom. That was impressive. All the grandchildren were in awe watching the military presentation. Even though this was hard for me to say good-bye to my father it was a beautiful funeral and I felt comfort and peace. I love you, Dad!

My heart is heavy...
My father passed away today, December 8, 2010. My heart aches for his presence and his gentle touch. I am sure he is having a wonderful reunion with those who have gone before. He led a great and full life. There are so many special memories I have of my father. He was always there for me and made time for me in his busy life. He was a wonderful father and grandfather who will be remembered by so many. I am grateful to be his daughter and a part of such a rich legacy. I love you, Dad.

Fun with Grandparents...
We were sooo happy to have Grandma Wallin and Grammy and Grampy McOmber come to visit us. We were on the go the entire time. We hit the beach, experienced an Airboat Ride, held a baby alligator, visited Miami, witnessed Tyson's baptism, and even went shopping to get caught in a downpour. Welcome to Florida!!!!
Florida Gators...
Yes, I held an ALLIGATOR!!! Okay, so when we had the grandparents here visiting for Tyson's baptism, we went on an airboat ride in the Everglades. It was awesome!!! We saw an alligator poking its eyes above the water. WE then went to see the animals they have in cages after the airboat ride and they had snakes, lizards, and ALLIGATORS!!! They took out a BABY one and first Nathan held it, then Tyson, Matt and I wasn't planning on it. Next thing I know....I am holding a baby alligator. Ahhhh...it was slimy and cold. Thank goodness its mouth was taped.

Tyson turned "8" on August 19th! He was lucky to have Grandma Wallin and Grammy McOmber here with us. We went to the POOL on his birthday as well and had a FUN family party that night. HE enjoyed opening his presents...Atlantis Legos, remote control truck, water gun, games, Toy Story car and figures, and a new bike helmet. He also got a baptism book and tie pins. Lots of birthday fun!!!
Nathan turns 10...
I can't believe I have a 10-year-old...neither can people here in the stores when they see me with 4 kids and my oldest being 10! I know I definitely stand out when I come into stores. Nathan had a fun birthday. Legos, water guns, slip-n-slide, Remote control car, army-guy legos, bionicles, and Friends! We went swimming on his birthday, had a family party that night...August 4, 2010. Then he had a friend party on Sat. Aug. 7th. Pizza and swimming and miniature golfing sounds fun for a 10-yr-old birthday party! We love you, Nathan.
